No-code workflow automation provider adds former LinkedIn and Ice Miller leaders to manage customer experience and legal teams
FISHERS, IND.—Feb. 8, 2022 —Formstack, a workplace productivity platform that empowers anyone to digitize what matters, automate workflows, and fix processes—all without code—today announced the appointments of Liza Smyth as senior vice president of customer experience and Kristine Camron as senior vice president and general counsel. Both individuals will join Formstack’s Executive Leadership Team and help lead the company through its next growth phase.
“As we continue our mission to help organizations accelerate work and unleash more of their workforce with no-code productivity solutions, we’re committed to bringing the best leadership possible to guide our vision,” said Chris Byers, CEO of Formstack. “Liza and Kristine bring more than 35 years of combined leadership in customer experience and legal operations that will benefit both Formstack and our customers. I’m thrilled to have them join our team.”
Liza Smyth will lead customer experience efforts, building a vision for delivering customer care and supporting the company’s 25,000 customers. Before joining Formstack, Smyth spent 15 years working for some of the world’s most prestigious tech companies, including Apple and LinkedIn. With experience throughout the customer journey—from international sales to growth and engagement—Smyth is a proven customer experience leader.
In addition to Smyth’s passion for customer experience, she advocates for diversity, inclusion and belonging, and mental health. She is a certified suicide prevention counselor.
“I am customer-obsessed,” said Smyth. “Before joining Formstack, I was looking for a company that valued customer experience as much as I did, and when I was introduced to Formstack, I knew I had found that perfect match. I’m looking forward to working with our team to help our customers reach their goals.”
Kristine Camron is charged with building Formstack’s in-house legal department, managing complex legal and business risks, and overseeing the company’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Before joining Formstack, Camron spent more than 20 years at Ice Miller LLP—where she was a partner since 2004—counseling early-stage technology companies.
Camron is an award-winning lawyer recognized multiple times by Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and named to Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2007 Forty Under 40 list. In addition to her legal work, she has volunteered with several Indiana organizations, such as Little Red Door Cancer Agency, TechPoint, Governor Robert Orr Fellowship Program, and Susan G. Komen of Central Indiana.
“I had the opportunity to work with Formstack over the past few years in an advisory capacity,” said Camron. “During that time, I realized the company’s vision and values aligned with my own, and it was a perfect fit. I’m eager to build Formstack’s first legal team and continue enhancing our privacy, security, and compliance efforts as we continue to grow.”
